Print & Finish Definitions
DIGITAL:
Dry ink / toner based printing. Ideally suited for shorter print runs.
OFFSET:
Wet ink based, traditional printing. Principally used for print runs of 500+.
UNLAMINATED:
Non laminated, has the paper or board as a finish (avaliable in our value run).
HI-GLOSS:
Premium gloss laminate finish on one side (in our value run), adding extra durability and colour vibrancy.
Ideal uses... loyalty and appointment cards
MATT LAMINATED:
Premium matt laminate on one or two sides (in our 420gsm business card range), giving a velvety smooth finish.
Ideal uses... business cards and rackcards
ULTRA GLOSS:
U.V. (Ultra Violet) gloss coating for extra colour vibrancy. Great for larger runs in our special series. Prevents print from scuffing.
GLOSS ART PAPER:
Glossy sheen both sides on paper. Has a coated finish both sides.
Ideal uses... Brochures and Pamphlets
MATT ART PAPER:
Has a slight sheen to the paper,.

OFFSET PAPER:
This is a matt finish (usually like copy paper). It will normally be uncoated & therefore colours will soak more into the stock, giving a flatter finish
Ideal uses... Letterheads and Flyers, mass marketing flyers
FOIL:
A thin layer of coloured foil is stamped onto a business card (or printed media) in almost any shape.
Ideal uses... logos, special texts and borders
METALLIC:
This is an ink, which is printed under the full colour print in our value range cards or printed on its own. It has a metallic sheen to it.

EMBOSSING:
A process in which an image is stamped onto the likes of a business card, making the surface raised from the rest of the card

DIECUTTING:
A process in which a blade cuts out a shape out of card stock like a circle opposed to being trimmed by a guillotine.
